Nelson Motors and Equipment is seeking an Agricultural Equipment Technician to perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment both in-field and in-shop. You will build relationships with customers and fellow technicians while delivering high-quality service.

The role requires a certified trade, 5+ years of diagnostic experience, and strong computer skills. John Deere certification is a strong asset and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Trade certification such as Agriculture Equipment Technician or Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic.
• Minimum 5 years of diagnostics and service repair experience; John Deere experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment in-field and in-shop.
• Build strong relationships with customers, junior technicians, and location personnel.
• Mentor apprentices and share knowledge to improve team capabilities.
• Use special tools and equipment to perform complex repairs and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on agricultural equipment.

About The Role

As an Agricultural Equipment Technician, you are self-motivated to perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment while supporting an exceptional customer experience. You work effectively both in-field and in-shop, building strong relationships with customers, junior technicians, and other location personnel.

For you to be considered for an interview you have the following qualifications:

• Completed a certified trade such as Agriculture Equipment Technician, Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or similar. May consider 3rd or 4th level apprentice; John Deere certified a strong asset.
• Minimum 5 years of experience performing diagnostics and service repairs. Experience servicing John Deere equipment preferred.
• Computer skills required, Service Advisor and/or Service Center an asset.
• Physically capable to perform the job, with the ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license required.
