Job summary

Nelson Motors and Equipment is seeking an Agricultural Equipment Technician to perform diagnostics, service and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment. You will operate in-field and in-shop, building strong relationships with customers, junior technicians and location staff.

The role involves problem solving, delivering high-quality work, and occasionally extended hours or weekends. Experience with John Deere equipment is preferred, plus a valid driver\'s license.

Qualifications

• Certified trade in Agriculture Equipment Technician, Heavy-Duty Mechanic or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of diagnostics and service repairs experience; John Deere experience preferred.
• Computer skills required; Service Advisor and/or Service Center experience is an asset.
• Physically capable to lift at least 75 lbs; valid driver\'s license required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment.
• Work effectively in-field and in-shop, building strong relationships with customers and teammates.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience and maintain high-quality workmanship with minimal errors.

About the Role

As an Agricultural Equipment Technician, you are self ‑ motivated to perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment while supporting an exceptional customer experience. You work effectively both in ‑ field and in ‑ shop, building strong relationships with customers, junior technicians, and other location personnel.

For you to be considered for an interview you have the following qualifications:

• Completed a certified trade such as Agriculture Equipment Technician, Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or similar. May consider 3rd or 4th level apprentice; John Deere certified a strong asset.
• Minimum 5 years of experience performing diagnostics and service repairs. Experience servicing John Deere equipment preferred.
• Computer skills required, Service Advisor and/or Service Center an asset.
• Physically capable to perform the job, with the ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license required.
