Job summary

Nelson Motors and Equipment is seeking an Agricultural Equipment Technician to perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment. You will work both in-field and in-shop, building strong relationships with customers, junior technicians, and location staff.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, a relevant trade certification, and familiarity with John Deere equipment. A valid driver's license and physical capability to lift 75 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Completed a certified trade such as Agriculture Equipment Technician, Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or similar.
• Minimum 5 years of experience performing diagnostics and service repairs.
• Experience servicing John Deere equipment preferred.
• Computer skills with Service Advisor and/or Service Center an asset.
• Physically capable to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment.
• Work effectively in-field and in-shop, building relationships with customers and location personnel.
• Share knowledge and mentor apprentices as part of team development.

About The Role

As an Agricultural Equipment Technician, you are self-motivated to perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment while supporting an exceptional customer experience. You work effectively both in-field and in-shop, building strong relationships with customers, junior technicians, and other location personnel.

For you to be considered for an interview you have the following qualifications:

• Completed a certified trade such as Agriculture Equipment Technician, Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or similar. May consider 3rd or 4th level apprentice; John Deere certified a strong asset.
• Minimum 5 years of experience performing diagnostics and service repairs. Experience servicing John Deere equipment preferred.
• Computer skills required, Service Advisor and/or Service Center an asset.
• Physically capable to perform the job, with the ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license required.
