Prairie Co-op is hiring a Permanent Full Time Ag Retail Manager at our Agro Centre in Melville, SK. You will lead the agriculture team across Melville and Ituna, drive sales growth, and manage customer relationships while achieving financial and safety objectives.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, a post-secondary agriculture education, and a commitment to teamwork and customer service. Relocation support may be provided to suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Agriculture or equivalent experience.
• P. Ag or CCA is preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience; CRS experience preferred.
• Honest, trustworthy and results-oriented.

What you’ll do:

The Ag Retail Manager is responsible for the leadership, sales growth, customer relationships, and overall performance of Prairie Co-op’s agriculture business in Melville & Ituna. This role provides leadership and the day-to-day direction of the Ag Team while ensuring financial, safety, customer sales & service (on farm/in store) and operational objectives are achieved.

• Provide operational direction and oversight in the implementation of programs and policies for the Melville and Ituna Ag Teams and customer base.
• Oversee and execute sales strategies, which includes managing and growing current customer base through identifying and pursuing prospects and growth opportunities. Responsible for building strong customer relationships and delivering solutions.
• Responsible for the sales, marketing and promotion of Crop Inputs and Grain storage and Handling solutions within the Melville and Ituna trading area.
• Oversee the completion and follow through of all safety and environmental policies and procedures and ensure standards are achieved.
• Prepare, administer, and achieve budgeted goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory of the commodity.
• Provide leadership to the team, including the recruitment, goal setting, performance management, training and development of team members and employee engagement
• Other duties as assigned.
