Job summary

Tradesman Manufacturing seeks a Production Floor Supervisor on the afternoon shift to lead 30–50 team members, manage operations, and drive continuous improvement. You will report to the Production Manager, work 3:30pm–1:00am, and guide production, maintenance and warehousing activities to optimize output.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in supervision, strong leadership, and experience with Lean methods, safety programs, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with some college or university.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role with 20+ reports.
• Combination of education and experience accepted.
• WHMIS 2015 training and safety awareness requirements.
• Workplace safety training and right to refuse unsafe work.
• LEAN and safety-focused manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Be an exemplary leader.
• Supervise 30-50 people directly and indirectly.
• Coach, mentor, discipline and provide performance feedback.
• Schedule training and recertification sessions.
• Track competencies to hit performance objectives.
• Support HSE programs and safe operating procedures.
• Improve safety records and safety culture.
• Diagnose manufacturing problems and recommend actions.
• Coordinate with maintenance and scheduling for on-time delivery.
• Communicate plans and issues daily with managers.
