Job summary

BGC York Region is seeking motivated individuals to facilitate an after-school program for children aged 6 to 14 for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves planning engaging activities, supervising staff and volunteers, and ensuring program safety in school locations within Ontario.

Responsibilities include coordinating attendance, communicating with families, and collaborating with school staff and community partners.

Qualifications

• Must have degree/diploma in ECE or related field.
• Experience with children aged 6–14 in structured settings.
• Ability to lead and supervise staff/volunteers.
• Strong planning and safety oversight.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging after-school activities per guidelines.
• Maintain clean, safe program spaces and equipment.
• Support coordinators, mentors, and volunteers.
• Supervise participants and respond to incidents per policies.
• Manage attendance, registrations, and communications with families.
• Liaise with school principals and community partners.
• Enforce policies and resolve conflicts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
