Job summary

Volatus Aerospace is seeking a Proposal Writer to own the development and submission of funding applications, government challenge proposals, and partner-facing bids. You will work with technical and program stakeholders to translate program information into clear, compelling, and compliant proposal content.

The role requires 3+ years in proposal writing, strong writing and editing skills, and the ability to coordinate input from multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in proposal writing, ideally in aerospace/defense.
• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
• Must be a Canadian citizen; eligible for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of proposal and funding submission documents.
• Interpret funding program requirements and build compliant submission structures and content plans.
• Coordinate with Solution Architect, program leads, and engineers to translate technical content into clear proposal narrative.
• Track submission deadlines, requirements checklists, and compliance matrices.
• Write, edit, and format proposal sections for consistent tone and messaging.
• Maintain a library of reusable proposal content and boilerplate material.
• Coordinate review cycles with stakeholders ahead of submissions.
• Support post-submission activities and follow-up questions.
