Manulife/John Hancock in Burlington, Ontario is seeking an Advisor Onboarding and Transition professional to support advisors as they move their books of business to Manulife Wealth Inc. and other wealth lines.

You will coordinate onboarding activities, maintain accurate advisor and client data, and ensure regulatory documentation is completed. This role collaborates with Compliance, IT, Licensing and Operations to deliver a seamless transition, serves as a primary contact for onboarding

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Administration, or related field.
  • 1–3 years in operations, advisor support, or financial services.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple onboarding activities.
  • Excellent communication with a client-focused approach.
  • Willingness to travel across Canada up to 20–30%.

  • Ensure all compliance and legal documentation is completed and stored securely, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Manage onboarding activities for new advisors, including account setup and integration with existing systems.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Compliance, IT, Licensing, and Operations to facilitate a seamless transition.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for onboarding-related inquiries and assist in resolving issues throughout the onboarding process.
  • Escalate complex onboarding challenges, exceptions, and risks as appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with transitioning advisors to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
  • Act as a liaison between advisors and internal teams to address questions and facilitate timely solutions.
  • Gather feedback from advisors regarding their onboarding experience and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement best practices and improve overall efficiency.
  • Support onboarding meetings, training sessions, advisor events, and transition-related activities as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple onboarding activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-profile, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to travel across Canada up to 20%-30% of the time.

Referenced Salary Location

Location Burlington, Ontario

Working Arrangement Hybrid

Salary range is expected to be between $62,850.00 CAD - $104,750.00 CAD. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
