The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of data within the advancement database (e.g., Raiser’s Edge) through the development of data standards, regular audits, and maintenance of donor, alumni, and gift records. This includes supporting segmentation, reporting, and adherence to privacy regulations such as CASL and FIPPA. The position oversees timely and accurate gift processing, reconciliation, and receipting in collaboration with Finance, ensuring compliance with CRA and institutional policies. It also produces regular and ad‑hoc reports, develops dashboards, and provides analytical insights to track fundraising performance, identify prospects, and support stewardship efforts. In addition, the role contributes to donor relations by managing recognition and stewardship activities such as thank‑you letters, recognition lists, naming opportunities, and impact reporting. Collaboration across Advancement and Alumni teams is key, with a focus on streamlining workflows, training staff on CRM best practices, and exploring innovative technologies—including AI—to enhance data management and advancement operations.
