Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Cambridge, Ontario is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Sr to advance manufacturing processes, drive innovation, and deliver cost‑efficient solutions that support aerospace operations.

You will report to the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Manager and work with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Design Engineering to diagnose issues, lead structured problem solving, and push continuous‑improvement programs while eligible for CGP & Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, Computer Systems, Mechanical)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering and process optimization.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in process development, inspection or production of brazed assemblies

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations to diagnose and resolve day-to-day manufacturing issues, ensuring stable and efficient operations.
  • Develop brazing processes and assist in creating inspection criteria for brazed assemblies
  • Drive resolution of QNs, CARs, and PROs.
  • Lead structured problem-solving efforts (RCCA, 5-Why, Fishbone) and drive corrective and preventive actions through full closure.
  • Lead continuous-improvement initiatives focused on cycle-time reduction, waste elimination, and process automation.
  • Work closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Design Engineering to resolve technical challenges.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, quantify process capability (Cp/Cpk), and recommend targeted improvements

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Sr here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our manufacturing processes and driving innovation within the aerospace sector. Your expertise will help shape the future of our manufacturing operations, ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency.

You will report directly to our Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Manager and you’ll work out of our Cambridge, ON location.

In this role, you will join the AME team in supporting the Cambridge site’s manufacturing operations by resolving production issues, driving process improvements, and directly contributing to the overall productivity and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

The Honeywell Aerospace building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP & Secret security clearance.

You Must Have
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, Computer Systems, Mechanical)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering and process optimization.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in process development, inspection or production of brazed assemblies
We Value
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Aerospace or Automotive industry and/or Electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Experience in the use of Six-Sigma & Lean tools
  • Experience with design and development processes
  • Experience with CREO CAD Software
  • Basic knowledge of the field's standards and specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with cross‑functional teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Individuals who are self‑motivated and able to work with little supervision
  • Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done.

The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 in Cambridge, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
