An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Indigenous Student Recruitment Specialist to guide prospective students through the admissions process. This full-time role involves collaborating with Indigenous communities and high school counselors to promote educational opportunities and support students in their journey. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a deep understanding of Indigenous cultures, helping to foster an inclusive environment that champions student success. Reporting to the Director, Admissions and Recruitment, and the Coordinator, Student Recruitment, this position advises prospective Indigenous students on program selection and admission to all undergraduate programs and non-credential undergraduate offerings. It plays a key role in achieving the University’s enrolment targets and is responsible for communicating the benefits of a Mount Royal education, generating inquiries, and applications.
The role involves networking with university staff and faculty to stay informed about programs and services, and advocating for Indigenous students throughout the admission process. The specialist collaborates with high school counsellors, career practitioners, and Indigenous communities to promote educational partnerships and disseminate accurate information about Mount Royal’s programs and services.
This is a full-time, term position working 35 hours per week, ending February 28, 2025.
