Description

The Haskayne School of Business is currently seeking a Full-time Regular Recruitment Specialist.

The Recruitment Specialist in the Haskayne School of Business (HSB) is a member of the Marketing and Recruitment team and reports to the Director, Marketing and Recruitment. The role focuses on proactive recruitment and conversion of qualified applicants for HSB's graduate programs, including the Haskayne MBA, Executive MBA, and Master of Management. The role also supports the Admissions Team in the conversion process.

The Recruitment Specialist drives enrollment targets across Haskayne's graduate programs. Not meeting these targets impacts the school's finances.

The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, with excellent communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities. As an external-facing role, they must build strong relationships with prospective companies and candidates, representing the school professionally. The position requires initiative, good judgment, and adherence to university policies.

Operationally, the incumbent should work in-office and in the community, with primary hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., with flexibility for evening and weekend events. Travel domestically and internationally may be required. This position is part of the AUPE Collective Bargaining Unit.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  1. Develop and implement a recruitment strategy supporting plans and budgets to meet targets.
  2. Build relationships with stakeholders in target markets, including businesses, alumni, and international recruitment organizations.
  3. Lead recruitment activities such as information sessions, fairs, and industry meetings.
  4. Plan and execute presentations at public information sessions and events.
  5. Identify new recruitment opportunities and strategic alliances.
  6. Develop and update recruitment materials.
  7. Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to enhance program awareness and generate leads.
  8. Manage prospective student engagement and track via CRM system.
  9. Maintain a presence on social media platforms like LinkedIn.
  10. Coordinate with Program Directors, Marketing, Communications, and Admissions teams.
  11. Support the Admissions team and Faculty of Graduate Studies in application and conversion processes.
  12. Assess prospective students, providing guidance on GMAT, academic requirements, and work experience.
  13. Assist in evaluating application files and making admissions recommendations.
  14. Manage scholarship assessments and communicate eligibility and awards.
  15. Advise applicants on tuition, financial aid, and career opportunities.
  16. Achieve enrollment targets as set by the school.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development, relationship management, or sales.
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of higher education recruitment trends and international education systems.
  • Experience in event planning and presentation delivery.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and in teams, managing multiple deadlines.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Results-driven mindset is an asset.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and MS Office (intermediate to advanced skills).
