Job summary

RM Residential in Edmonton is seeking an organized Administrator for our Residential Flatwork team. You will manage purchase orders, coordinate with home builders, and support production and customer service to ensure on-time concrete delivery.

The role requires strong data entry, communication, and multi-tasking with a proactive, safety-conscious mindset. Office-based with occasional site visits and normal hours, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in administrative/coordination roles or customer-facing roles.
  • Experience in concrete/home building or construction preferred.
  • Familiarity with supply chain/billing workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and manage purchase orders from home builders in SupplyPro.
  • Issue POs to subcontractors with clear scope and site requirements.
  • Create work orders for customer service to ensure accurate placement and delivery.
  • Process concrete orders and ensure alignment with project timelines.
  • Coordinate billing and ordering of aggregate with the logistics team.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Administrator to join our Residential Flatwork team.

In this role, you will serve as a critical link between home builders, subcontractor crews, and our internal production and customer service teams. You will be primarily responsible for the accurate and timely creation, issuance, and management of purchase orders, ensuring concrete orders and aggregate are delivered on time and within scope. This is a fast-paced, high-accountability role that plays a direct part in keeping our residential projects running smoothly.

Responsibilities :
  • Receive, file, and accurately enter purchase orders from home builders into SupplyPro, ensuring all data is complete and up to date.
  • Issue purchase orders to subcontractor crews in a timely manner, ensuring all scope, scheduling, and site requirements are clearly communicated.
  • Generate and provide work orders to the customer service team to support accurate concrete placement and on-time delivery.
  • Create and issue purchase orders for concrete orders, staying current with evolving customer needs, project timelines, and design changes.
  • Facilitate the billing, tracking, and ordering of aggregate alongside the logistics team members.
  • Communicate proactively with field superintendents regarding order changes, scope adjustments, and site requirements, and accurately record all interactions and updates in SupplyPro.
  • Provide cross-functional coverage and administrative support to the Residential Team, including the Accounting Administrator, Production Manager, and Superintendents as required.
  • Champion the safety culture at RMC including completing weekly HSE reviews, participating in safety meetings, wearing PPE, identifying workplace hazards, following safe work practices, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of team and operational objectives.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of previous experience in an administrative, coordination, or customer-facing role.
  • Experience working within the concrete, home building, or broader construction industry.
  • Previous experience with SupplyPro or similar construction billing and purchase order management software.
  • Proficiency in Dynamics Business Central would be considered a strong asset
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with residential construction workflows, flatwork scopes, and builder-contractor relationships is an asset.

Hours of Work & Work Environment:

This role is primarily office-based. Occasional travel to active construction worksites may be required to support field operations. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Overtime may be required during peak periods or based on business needs.
