What Is The Opportunity

Reporting to the Supervisor, Project Payroll, the Project Payroll Administrator will perform clerical and administrative duties to support the payroll department. This is a 7-month contract position.

What You’ll Do Here
  • Coordinate with General Foreperson, Project Accountants, and other stakeholders for payroll processing.
  • Maintain filing system for payroll documents in accordance with auditing procedures.
  • Maintain employee information documents, including qualifications, certifications, and training.
  • Assist project controls in tracking, monitoring, and analyzing productivity data and project costs.
  • Verify and submit timesheets, audit reports, prepare employee packages, handle termination/layoff forms, rate changes, and travel and board calculations.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding, and daily attendance reconciliations.
  • Review audit and exception reports to ensure data accuracy.
  • Work with other teams to resolve employee questions and data issues promptly.
  • Assist with report requests and other administrative tasks as needed.
What You Bring To The Team
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data entry and administration.
  • Experience with SAP is an asset.
  • Knowledge of trade unions is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
