Job summary

Interior Health's Vernon Community Care invites applications for a permanent part-time Administrative Services Assistant (0.73 FTE) to join the team. The position follows a rotating day shift 08:00–16:00, requires a Grade 12, an Office Administration certificate, and at least one year of related experience; a 40 wpm typing test is also required.

Vernon Community Care has an exciting opportunity for a permanent part-time (0.73FTE) Administrative Services Assistant to join their team!

This position works rotating day shifts from 08:00 to 16:00. This position works at the Vernon Community Care and supports the Community Care programs.

What Will You Work On?

As a Clerical Support team member, you will play a vital role in supporting the Community programs by providing efficient reception and administrative services in accordance with Interior Health policies. Your responsibilities will include client scheduling, data entry, preparing routine correspondence and reports, responding to public and internal inquiries, and collecting fees. You will also support the clinical team by maintaining medical/surgical supply inventories, cleaning medical equipment, and coordinating the delivery of biologicals and other supplies. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities will contribute to the seamless operation of the health unit and enhance the experience of clients and staff alike.
