Reports to:Dr. Mark Reed, Co-Lead, Collaborative Centre for Drug Discovery and Therapeutics, and Director UHN Therapeutics
Work Model: On-site
Hours:37.5 hours per week

Status:Permanent Full-Time

Position Summary:Working under the direction of a collaborative center Co-Lead the Administrative Coordinator exercises judgment and independence to provide complex administrative support services to scientists, staff and trainees. The successful applicant will also work closely with other administrative staff and UHN Research Solutions and Services Departments to resolve issues, as well as liaise with external parties such as the University of Toronto to complete other tasks as assigned.

Duties

  • Manage and maintain calendar/scheduling for Institute for the Director
  • Develop, organize and maintain electronic and paper filing/retrieval methods, systems or formats
  • Monitor, track and manage research budgets for the research group
  • Perform clerical support functions
  • Perform cross-functional responsibilities, as required
  • Perform other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned
  • Exercise considerable judgment and work independently in providing complex administrative support
  • proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Website management is an asset
  • Assist in ordering and procurement
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or health management
  • Three (3) years or more related administrative support experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to produce high quality work
  • Ability to main confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and use good judgement in assessing difficult solutions.
