Job summary

A leading organization, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Toronto, is seeking a dedicated volunteer for administrative support. This role involves digitizing files, organizing events, and assisting with team coordination. Ideal candidates will have post-secondary education in office management and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A commitment of 7-14 hours per week is expected for at least 6 months.

Qualifications

  • Completed or working toward post-secondary education in office management or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including SharePoint and Planner.
  • Knowledge of event and/or project management is an asset.

Job description

Working alongside our member agencies, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Toronto (CCAT) strives to address emerging community needs by collaborating with like-minded organizations. CCAT work is guided by Catholic Social Teachings and focuses on safeguarding life, respecting the dignity of every person, and building a just society.

We are currently searching for a dynamic and dedicated volunteer to join our team to provide administrative support. We support, and learn from one another. If you’re interested in contributing your time for positive change in the community, we want to hear from you!

What you'll get to do :

  • Digitize, organize, and archive agency files.
  • Restructure the digital filing system for the organization’s shared files.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and organizing meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Actively participate in ongoing team meetings.

What you need to know / have :

  • Completed or working toward post-secondary education in office management or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including SharePoint and Planner.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Knowledge of event and / or project management is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment.

Time Commitment : 7-14 hours per week for long term commitment ideal, 6 months or more
