This position will move to OPG Corporate Headquarters at 1908 Colonel Sam Drive, Oshawa, ON, in Summer 2025. Until then, the role is temporarily based in Toronto, ON.

JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) seeks a dynamic, personable, results-driven administrative professional for the role of Senior Executive Administrative Assistant.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Hydro Business Development, this role provides top-level administrative support. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and communication skills, and can handle confidential information with discretion.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to OPG’s public outreach, engagement, and educational initiatives, supporting the company's commitment to social license growth.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Provide comprehensive administrative support, including managing schedules, appointments, and travel.
  2. Review meeting requests, recognizing sensitivity and confidentiality, and maintain the leader's calendar.
  3. Coordinate and prepare briefing materials for meetings, speeches, and conferences.
  4. Arrange meetings and conferences, including preparing agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  5. Prioritize requests and respond or refer as appropriate.
  6. Protect the leader’s time by managing demands and maintaining follow-up logs.
  7. Coordinate meetings with senior management, government officials, and external stakeholders.
  8. Prepare and handle confidential corporate documents and correspondence.
  9. Serve as a liaison between executives and internal/external stakeholders.
  10. Manage expenses, budgets, and financial documents.
  11. Support project management and research activities.
  12. Perform other administrative duties as needed.

EDUCATION

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7 years of experience in executive administrative support.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and independence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
