  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, leadership, and training
Main Duties
  • Reporting to the Director of Capital, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Director with the administrative duties within the Capital Department and provides support to the Department of Capital Works on capital, housing, operations and maintenance related projects
  • Meeting with the public to record work order requests, assist with completing application forms, maintain e‑mail, fax equipment and the Director’s appointment schedule
  • Maintenance and preparation of files for the Capital Department
  • Preparation of correspondence for the Director and preparation of minutes at meetings as required
  • Maintenance of departmental financial records
  • Attend community meetings relevant to the Capital Department as requested
  • Take messages, send fax, provide reminders to the operations of the department
  • Keep a daily record of employee time sheets
  • Maintain the equipment sign in/out sheet (Community Building)
  • Ensuring organization of the office area
  • Issuing POs for materials and repairs
  • Making appointments to maintain company vehicles
  • Letter/memo writing as required
  • Any other related duties as requested by the Director of Capital
