Mount Royal University is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the Chair of Student Counselling Services. This full-time, replacement-term role on-campus combines front-facing client service with department coordination.

About this Position
Student Counselling Services is located within Wellness Services at Mount Royal University. Wellness Services has six areas that supports both students and employee health and wellness on campus. Student Counselling Services exclusively serves Mount Royal University students.
Reporting to the Chair of Student Counselling Services, this position performs a range of complex administrative duties to support the Chair and the effective day-to-day operations within the department. The team consists of full-time counsellors, part-time counsellors, and graduate-level Counselling practicum students.
This role works with a high degree of independence and requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The incumbent will carry out their duties and communications with tact and discretion, protecting client confidentiality. Duties include serving as an essential point of communication across the department, supporting the Chair with schedule and budget management, and working with University systems, policies and procedures. This position is also front-facing, responding mainly to students but also staff and faculty. Professional and efficient collaboration with Counsellors, the other Administrative Assistant and colleagues across MRU is essential to the operation of Student Counselling Services.
This is a full-time, replacement-term position, working 35 hours per week on-campus. Regular Hours of work are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Salary Rate: $27.61 - $34.97 per hour
