Scope of the Position
Under the supervision of the finance director, the administrative assistant – finance and payroll supports the finance department in routine accounting operations, payroll preparation especially during the payroll system transition project, and various daily administrative tasks. They ensure compliance with financial procedures, data accuracy in payroll, and adherence to deadlines.
This position is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Main Responsibilities
Perform administrative tasks related to finance and payroll.
Assist the director in managing financial files.
Draft and format administrative documents and financial reports.
Payroll:
Support the payroll master with the system transition project.
Assist with payroll-related tasks.
Maintain employee payroll data.
Other related tasks supporting the department.
Finance and Accounting:
Process purchase orders.
Digitize, photocopy, file, and archive financial documents.
We are looking for someone who:
Has a college diploma (DEC) in administration, accounting, office automation, or a related field.
Has 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Has experience and knowledge of payroll.
Familiar with learning new software (knowledge of ADP and/or Dayforce is an asset).
Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written.
Discreet with the ability to handle confidential information.
Quick learner, rigorous, and organized.
Experience with collective agreements.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Outlook.
