What You Should Know

Location: Kingston, ON (client homes)

Shift: 12 hour shifts, both day and nights available

What You’ll Do

Personal Support & Daily Care

• Provide long-term commitment to care and services for a client with multiple complex needs
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Support mobility, walking, and safe transfers (bed, chair, wheelchair)

Home Support

• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Prepare and serve meals based on client preferences and dietary needs

Health & Safety Assistance

• Provide medication reminders and help monitor daily routines
• Complete daily care reports and communicate observations to the case manager or healthcare team

Companionship & Emotional Support

• Engage clients in meaningful conversation and provide reassurance
• Promote comfort, dignity, independence, and well‑being

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of caregiving or addictions support worker experience
• Training in Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) or Non-violent Crisis Prevention (preferred)
• CPR/First Aid Certification (required)
• Ability to use a mobile phone for documentation and time tracking
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Second language is an asset
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to respond calmly to unexpected situations
