Job summary

In-Home Assisted Living Inc. (IHAL) is seeking dedicated PSWs and caregivers to support clients in their homes in Mississauga, ON. Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours, with daytime or overnight opportunities, tailored to each client’s needs.

You will perform ADLs, mobility support, light housekeeping, meal prep, medication reminders, and daily care documentation. Competitive pay and a supportive team await.

Qualifications

• PSW certificate required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Minimum 1 year caregiving or PSW experience.
• GPA training preferred.
• Ability to use a mobile phone for documentation and time tracking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Second language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting.
• Support mobility and safe transfers.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor daily routines.
• Complete care reports and communicate observations to the Case Manager.

In-Home Assisted Living Inc. (IHAL) is seeking dedicated, caring, and reliable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) and Caregivers to support our clients in the comfort of their homes. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality, client-centred care, we would love to hear from you.

Location: Mississauga, ON (client homes)
Shift: Shifts range from flexible 4-hour blocks to longer 12-hour stints, tailored to meet our clients' unique needs and availability. Whether you’re looking for daytime hours or overnight opportunities, there’s a perfect fit waiting for you!

What You’ll Do:

Personal Support & Daily Care

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Support mobility, walking, and safe transfers (bed, chair, wheelchair)

Home Support

• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Prepare and serve meals based on client preferences and dietary needs

Health & Safety Assistance

• Provide medication reminders and help monitor daily routines
• Complete daily care reports and communicate observations to the Case Manager or healthcare team

Companionship & Emotional Support

• Engage clients in meaningful conversation and provide reassurance
• Promote comfort, dignity, independence, and well-being

What We’re Looking For

• PSW Certificate required
• Minimum 1 year of caregiving or PSW experience
• Training in Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) or Non-Violent Crisis Prevention preferred
• CPR/First Aid Certification required
• Ability to use a mobile phone for documentation and time tracking
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Second language is an asset
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to respond calmly to unexpected situations
