Job summary

North Bay Regional Health Centre is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Inpatient Psychiatry Unit in North Bay, Ontario. The role supports high-intensity, 24/7 psychiatric services for adults 18+, focusing on assessment, safety, and discharge planning in a multidisciplinary team.

Required are current RN registration in Ontario, BLS, and a strong background in mental health care; bilingual English/French is required. Salary and benefits per CUPE 139 collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate (within 12 months).
• GPA certificate is an asset.
• Mental health care experience in an active setting.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and symptom management.
• Familiarity with Health Disciplines Act, Mental Health Act and related standards.
• Knowledge of major mental illness from a bio-psychosocial perspective.
• Addictions knowledge is an asset.
• Basic computer knowledge.
