ILSC Vancouver Junior Winter Camp is seeking an Activity Leader to supervise students and run engaging, culturally enriching activities. This part-time, fixed-term role supports safety and wellbeing for up to 30 hours per week, with a start around January 4, 2027 and end January 30, 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Greet arriving students at the airport and connect them with their assigned driver.
  • Support weekly student orientation, including icebreakers, transit and SIM card assistance, and other orientation tasks.
  • Attend daily staff meetings to review and plan activities.
  • Supervise students during assigned activities and excursions.
  • Promote a safe, respectful environment and promptly report wellbeing, safety, or conduct concerns to the National Director of Juniors.
  • Complete student attendance reports and keep leadership informed of attendance or student-related concerns.
  • Assist the National Director of Juniors and, on occasion, agents and accreditation inspectors, in observation and evaluation of activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Role: Activity Leader

Reports to: National Director, Juniors & Corporate

Program: ILSC Vancouver Junior Winter Camp

Contract Duration: January 4, 2026 to January 30, 2027 (4 Weeks)

Description

Activity Leaders provide engaging, culturally enriching activities and supervise students outside the classroom, supporting their safety and wellbeing. This is a part-time, fixed-term role of up to 30 hours per week.

  • Part-time hours on-site at ILSC Vancouver will begin on January 4, 2027, until January 30, 2027.
  • Pre-program staff training will take place on December 11, 2026 at the ILSC Vancouver campus.
  • Your weekly work schedule will consist of greeting students upon their arrival at the airport and connect them with the driver assigned to bring them to their homestay (typically on Sundays and scheduled by the National Director, Juniors & Corporate with the team on a rotational basis).
  • Supervising students on their weekday off-site morning activities on Monday-Friday from 12:00 PM to 4:00PM.
  • Supervising students on their full-day weekend activity on Saturdays from 9:00AM-5:00 PM (may vary depending on activity).
Job Duties

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet arriving students at the airport and connect them with their assigned driver.
  • Support weekly student orientation, including icebreakers, transit and SIM card assistance, and other orientation tasks.
  • Attend daily staff meetings to review and plan activities.
  • Supervise students during assigned activities and excursions.
  • Support a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for students by promoting positive interactions and promptly bringing any concerns related to student wellbeing, safety, or conduct to the attention of the National Director of Juniors.
  • Complete student attendance reports as required and keep the Junior Camp management team informed of any attendance or student-related concerns as needed.
  • Assist the National Director of Juniors, and on occasion, agents, and accreditation inspectors, in the observation and evaluation of activities.
  • Other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
  • Experience working with teenagers in a camp or extra-curricular activity environment
  • Background in winter sports, and social media
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and motivational skills
Desirable
  • CPR / First Aid / Lifeguard certification
  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills are an asset.
Additional Requirements of the Job
  • Criminal Record Police Check
  • Medical records and immunization reports may be required
