Job summary

EF Education First in Vancouver is seeking an energetic Activities Manager to design, plan, and deliver a dynamic program of activities for international students outside class hours.

You will lead a team, manage bookings with external partners, and promote activities via social media, while monitoring budgets and ensuring a welcoming campus life experience.

Qualifications

Your Role

EF(Education First) Vancouver International Language Campus is seeking an energetic, outgoing and organised individual to join our Activities Team as Activities Manager.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the designing, planning and delivering of a diverse range of activities, events and excursions that create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for our international students outside of class.

Position Details:
  • Full-time
  • 5 days a week in office; Monday - Friday
  • Salary from 44,000 – 50,000 CAD
  • Campus based minutes away from BC Place
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Organize, implement, and deliver a program of activities, events and excursions appropriate to students’ needs (across the following key student demographics: aged 16-17, aged 18+, and aged 50+)
  • Schedule and organise a team of activity leaders
  • Help manage weekly bookings of events and excursions through external suppliers
  • Give information to students regarding the weekly Activities calendar, manage student queries and complaints, and ensure that information is clearly displayed and regularly updated
  • Create content, promote activities and oversee the school’s social media pages
  • Monitor expenditure, profitability, and the allocation of set resources within budget and financial goals
  • When required, may occasionally lead activities & excursions, including evening & weekend work
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience managing events, activities, customer service and/or tour guiding
  • Be outgoing, fun, energetic, warm and welcoming to help students get excited about our destination and build strong connections
  • Equally able to apply creativity and organization to your work while working in a loud busy space
  • Organised, with high attention to detail
  • Able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends to align with activities
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • A valid First Aid Certificate or the willingness and ability to gain one upon commencement
  • A valid Criminal Record check in Canada
  • Full fluency in English is essential
  • Legal right to work in Canada is essential (sponsorship for this position is not possible)
