Job Title: Automotive Acquisition Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Acquisition Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and acquiring vehicles to maintain optimal inventory levels aligned with market trends and customer demand. Your goal will be to ensure our dealership has the right mix of vehicles to drive sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively research and identify vehicle acquisition opportunities through auctions, trade-ins, private sellers, wholesalers, and online platforms.
• Evaluate vehicle condition, history, and market value to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, auction representatives, and industry contacts.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to determine the ideal mix of inventory.
• Manage vehicle acquisition budget and negotiate pricing to maximize margins.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and inventory teams to ensure smooth onboarding of acquired vehicles.
• Oversee logistics, transportation, and documentation related to vehicle acquisition.
• Conduct VIN checks, review vehicle history reports (e.g., CARFAX), and ensure compliance with dealership standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in automotive purchasing, inventory management, or dealership sales.
• In-depth knowledge of the automotive market, vehicle valuation tools (e.g., Kelley Blue Book, Manheim), and auction processes.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and data.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Proficiency in CRM and inventory management systems.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with online auction platforms (Openlane, Eblock, Adesa).
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
