As an Account Receivable Clerk II in the USA team, you’ll be responsible for providing high-quality financial, administrative, and clerical services, including the effective, efficient, and accurate management of receivables for moderately difficult to complex client accounts. You will also initiate claim-related payments to providers within a time-sensitive environment. You are expected to handle all aspects of client accounts autonomously, with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities include the day-to-day processing and monitoring of transactions related to accounts receivable, including amounts owed to clients, reconciliation of accounts, and collections. Additional responsibilities include providing excellent customer service to both external and internal clients.

What does your typical day look like?

  • Issue invoices that are complete, accurate, formatted according to client needs, within expected timeframes, and according to established guidelines.
  • Identify and resolve problems of an unusual nature and/or with high financial impact.
  • Prepare and monitor rush invoices to maintain savings.
  • Track payment status of invoices and follow up on overdue accounts with clients.
  • Exercise judgment in determining whether pre-funded payments should be released, based on prior experience and client-specific factors.
  • Ensure the accuracy of account balances and aging.
  • Reconcile, register, and issue client refunds and rebates.
  • Educate and inform internal and external clients regarding our systems and processes.
  • Actively coach junior team members, sharing best practices, providing feedback, and helping others develop skills to exercise judgment or make high-quality decisions.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • College Diploma in Accounting or a related field.
  • Accounting experience (5+ years) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish, both spoken and written. English is used daily for follow-ups with other departments across various sites (Ontario, Miami, Mexico, etc.) and for contacting corporate clients or policyholders, mainly outside Quebec, to review account information.
