Job summary

Pattison Food Group Ltd. in Langley, BC, is hiring a full-time Accounting Assistant to join the Finance team and support treasury, accounts receivable and payroll functions. Reporting to the Manager, Finance, you will help ensure accuracy and efficient financial operations across the organization.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues, maintain records, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or high-volume environment.
• Completed or pursuing a recognized accounting diploma, or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Payroll administration, accounts receivable, reconciliations and financial reporting is an asset.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable activities including corporate billing, invoicing, credit memos, cash applications and collections.
• Complete daily banking reviews, account reconciliations, journal entries and month-end processes.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support payroll administration including updates, timecard auditing and inquiries.
• Leverage Excel and reporting tools to improve processes and support audits.
