Job summary

Lee Valley Tools Ltd. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Ottawa, Ontario, to manage vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.

You will maintain records in our AP system, reconcile accounts, and prepare routine reports while coordinating with vendors and internal teams. The role requires a college certificate with accounting courses and at least three years of AP experience, with strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• College certificate that includes accounting courses.
• At least three years of accounts payable experience.
• Knowledge of general ledger entries and AP systems.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
• Clear, tactful written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, including matching them to purchase orders and inventory receipts.
• Prepare domestic and international vendor payments using online banking
• Maintain, reconcile, analyze, and report on assigned accounts.
• Investigate and resolve invoice and account discrepancies.
• Respond to requests for information from vendors and internal teams.
• Compile data for analyses, reports, and special projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
