Job summary

Lee Valley Tools in Ottawa, Ontario is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to process vendor invoices, ensure accurate records in our automated accounts payable system, reconcile accounts, and prepare routine reports. You will collaborate with colleagues and vendors to resolve discrepancies and respond to information requests.

The ideal candidate has a college certificate in accounting, at least three years of accounts payable experience including online banking payment processing, knowledge

• At least three years of accounts payable experience, including payment processing through online banking or similar tools.
• Knowledge of general ledger entries and experience using accounting and accounts payable systems.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
• Clear, tactful written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a business that purchases inventory is an asset.

Responsibilities

Overview:

The Accounts Payable Specialist processes vendor invoices and payments, maintains accurate records in our automated accounts payable system, reconciles accounts, and prepares routine reports.
