Job summary

Serruya Private Equity (SPE) is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to manage vendor payments in a fast-paced environment. This role requires accuracy, reliability, and strong communication to support finance operations.

Responsibilities include full-cycle AP, 3-way matching, posting invoices in our ERP, resolving discrepancies with vendors, and assisting month-end close while upholding internal controls and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience.
• Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
• Experience with ERP systems (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, SAP).
• Strong knowledge of Canadian payment processes and HST.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle accounts payable including invoicing and 3-way matching.
• Coordinate with internal departments for invoice approvals.
• Record invoices in ERP with supporting docs.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors.
• Support month-end close and audit readiness.
• Ensure timely payments by cheque, ACH/EFT, and wires.
• Assist with process improvements and system testing.
