Job summary

Nippon Express Canada Ltd. is seeking an Accounting Coordinator II to join our finance team in Toronto. The role focuses on processing vendor invoices, reconciling intercompany transactions, and preparing monthly reports to support accurate financials.

You will work with AS400 and SAP systems, collaborate with operations and Nippon Express Group companies, and contribute to timely payments while complying with Canadian accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of direct work experience in a similar position.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards.
• Working knowledge of sales taxes across all Provinces.
• Good communication skills, including written and verbal English (French a plus).
• Able to multi-task, remain objective in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices for payment in the accounting system.
• Maintain accounts payable open items and reconcile vendor statements.
• Process adjustments, corrections, and accruals in the accounting system.
• Reconcile intercompany AR & AP and balance sheet accounts.
• Interbranch reconciliations including transfer slips and open item investigations.
• Troubleshoot with operation teams, vendors/clients, and Nippon Express Group companies.
• Prepare monthly reports for management.
• All other accounting duties as needed.
