Job description

We have an exciting opportunity and are looking for the right individual to join our team.

Requirements : Positive attitude, desire to learn and grow, initiative, multitasking skills, deadline orientation, computer proficiency, reliability, ability to work in a team environment, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities :

1. All aspects of accounts payable, including :
2. Receiving vendor invoices and matching them to approved purchase orders
3. Posting all open items in A/P daily
4. Preparing weekly accounts payable cheques
5. Assisting in monthly closing processes

Analyzing vendor accounts and requesting missing information as needed.

Preparing daily deposit reconciliations.

Participating in cross-training for other accounting department functions to ensure coverage during illness or vacation.

Maintaining a professional appearance and a tidy work area.

Performing other duties as assigned.

Experience :

Accounting knowledge and experience are required. A college diploma in accounting, university coursework, or well-rounded experience is preferred. Previous work experience in a dealership environment, especially automotive, is a definite asset.

Computer software used includes Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with CDK / ADP software is an asset but not required.
