Job summary

T&T Supermarket is seeking an Accounting Associate in Canada to support daily accounting duties within the Finance & Accounting Department. You will help ensure invoice accuracy, process supplier invoices, and code items to the correct accounts while preparing monthly A/P closings.

The role requires an accounting education and at least 1 year of accounting experience. Strong analytical skills and MS Excel proficiency are essential; knowledge of Macola is a plus.

Qualifications

• Complete University/College education with major in Accounting.
• 1 year of working experience in accounting areas.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to prioritize and multi-task.
• Proficiency with Macola; MS Word and Excel required or trained.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and consistency of invoices and documents to comply with applicable requirements.
• Check supplier invoices and organize them for processing.
• Code items to the correct accounts.
• Prepare monthly closing of Accounts Payable (A/P).
• Identify discrepancies between A/P input and General Ledger (G/L).
• Verify that invoices align with provincial and federal tax rules.
