Responsibilities

• Manage your own list of clients and take responsibility for their client experience
• Prepare these deliverables for the client: bookkeeping, T2 & T1 Returns, Compilations, GST, and TSlips
• Communicating tax and accounting concepts to clients and answer their questions
• Developing efficiencies through the effective use of technology

Qualifications and expectations

• Able to prepare Workpapers, Compilation FS, and a T2 Return for a Canadian corporation in a day
• Ability to practically apply knowledge of the Income Tax Act, GAAP, and CRA best practices
• Sufficient and current knowledge of corporate and personal tax regulations and experience with tax software
• Respectful and responsive communication practices and customer service
• At least 3 years of experience in an accounting or public practice bookkeeping role.

The compensation for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 (plus benefits), depending on experience, with room for growth within the firm.
