Job description

MatchBox Consulting Group is urgently searching for an Accounting Technician, AP for a 6-month contract role (37.5 hours per week) for our BC based public sector client. This is a fully remote position for BC based candidates.

The Accounts Payable team needs an Accounting Technician contractor assistance for a two-month period beginning as soon as possible. We are looking for a candidate to assist us on specific corporate initiatives with skill sets to support:

1. User Acceptance Testing for the roll out of a project implementing SAP Concur with integration to SAP S4 Hana
2. AP keying of invoices according to procedure and policy, processing payment runs within SAP, and posting journal entries.
3. Support for investigation into automation of payment runs and keying routine vendor invoices as a result of RPA process improvements.

When working in Accounts Payable this role is responsible for monitoring accounts payable, in addition to conducting system transactional input, payment production and distribution, as well as maintenance of all accounting and SAP records:

1. Interprets written rules and regulations.
2. Maintains accounting records involving multiple transactions.
3. Reviews financial documents for accuracy, completeness, validity, and adherence to standards.
4. Compiles, verifies, and reconciles financial data.
5. Places holds and processes debit/credit memos.
6. Enters coding and data into the computer and reviews computer output for accuracy.
