Responsibilities :

• Working with clients of all sizes and various industries
• Prepare financial statements and compliance tax returns for compilation engagements
• Working with clients of all sizes from smaller private companies to large public companies.
• Prepare tax returns – HST, GST, T1, T2, T4, T5
• Set-up client files, assist with the completion of budgets and complete administrative planning and other aspects of accounting work
• Communicate with governments regarding information requests, assessments and installments

Job Requirements :

• 2+ years of accounting related experience in a Canadian public accounting firm
• Previous experience with file preparation in a public accounting firm
• Experience working with accounting and tax software such as CaseWare, Taxprep and QuickBooks
• Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word and Excel
