Job summary

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Accounting Technician for the Corporate Accounting team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This full-time permanent position supports petroleum freight operations through accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting, with a hybrid work arrangement.

You’ll join a small team of five Technicians, working closely with the Manager of Corporate Accounting to ensure timely month-end activities, GL reconciliations, and cost tracking.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two post-secondary courses in financial accounting.
• One year of relevant accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Batch, key, and adjust meter tickets; confirm freight info; follow up on missing or rejected EDI tickets from CCRL.
• Code and process freight charges for common carriers and lease operators; track and pay lease operator holdbacks.
• Set up unconfirmed freight, prepare cost/sales and petroleum operations reports, and assist with month-end activities.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and common carrier claims from distribution centres.
• Other duties as required.

Are you detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment? As an Accounting Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting petroleum freight operations through accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting.

What You’ll Do

Who You Are

You are looking for a career in Finance and:

• Have a high school diploma, two (2) post-secondary courses in financial accounting from an accredited post-secondary institution, and one year of relevant accounting experience.
