We are currently seeking an Accounting Technician to join our team in Red Deer. This is a full-time position (32-40 hours per week, with overtime during March and April), permanent in nature.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Assisting with and preparing accounting engagements such as adjusting journal entries, financial statements, and corporation income tax returns.
2. Assisting with and preparing client bookkeeping.
3. Assisting with and preparing personal income tax, T4, WCB, and T5 returns.
4. Supporting various projects and administrative tasks as needed.

Ideal candidates will have:

1. Experience within an accounting or administrative office.
2. Experience with software such as Caseware, TaxPrep, Profile, Doc-it, QBO, Xero, and/or Microsoft Suite is an asset.
3. Strong oral and written English communication skills.
4. Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines.
5. Capability to make decisions and solve problems independently within the scope of the role.
