Job summary

Germain Hotels group is seeking a multi-skilled Accounting Technician to join our Finance team. You will work closely with the accounting and hotel/restaurant teams to ensure accurate financial processes.

The role involves AR, credit investigations, collections, bank reconciliations and expense validation, with training and support in accounting procedures. Fluency in French and English is required to collaborate across sites.

Qualifications

• College diploma in Hotel Management or Accounting and Management Techniques (or equivalent).
• Experience in a similar position is an asset.
• Knowledge of Opera and Symphony hotel software is an asset.
• Fluently bilingual in French and English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Enter and monitor accounts receivable.
• Perform credit investigations and follow-up on collections; handle credit card disputes.
• Reconcile hotel and restaurant bank accounts and validate expense reports.
• Maintain effective communication with hotel and restaurant teams.
• Provide training and support in operational and accounting procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Enter and monitor accounts receivable.

• A college diploma in Hotel Management or Accounting and Management Techniques (or equivalent).
• Experience in a similar position is an asset.
• Knowledge of hotel software, such as Opera and Symphony, is an asset.
• Advanced level of oral and written French and English, due to the nature of the tasks, work tools or interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners, suppliers and customers.
