Job summary

Germain Hôtels in Canada seeks a Financial Analyst to oversee cash management and budgets across multiple entities. You will prepare forecasts, monthly and annual financial statements, and support audit files, working with several teams to enable growth.

The role requires bilingual French/English communication, CPA consideration, and up to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or taxation. A hybrid work model is offered to balance collaboration and autonomy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• CPA designation or pursuing it (asset).
• Experience in an accounting firm or taxation (asset).
• Knowledge of the hotel and restaurant industry (asset).
• Strong written and verbal communication in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare forecast, monthly and annual financial statements for various entities, manage property cash flow, and prepare annual audit files.
• Prepare and communicate operating budgets, as well as various analyses and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and processes, as well as internal controls.
• Participate in calculating income tax provisions and preparing tax information for annual filings.
• Collaborate on various special projects.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or another related field;
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience;
• CPA designation or currently working toward it (an asset);
• Experience in an accounting firm or in taxation (an asset);
• Knowledge of the hotel and restaurant industry (an asset);
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, due to the nature of the role and interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners, or clients across Canada.
