Job summary

Germain Hôtels in Montreal is seeking an autonomous Night Auditor with an open and empathetic attitude. You will be responsible for guest arrivals and departures, recording the day’s transactions, and responding to urgent situations.

Requirements include hotel or accounting background, Night Auditor experience, bilingual French and English, a valid driver's license to drive manual transmission, and a proactive, organized mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform night audit accounting tasks: reconcile deposits, resolve chargebacks, produce reports.
• Ensure premises security at night and make key decisions in emergencies.
• Check-in/check-out guests and ensure smooth coordination with morning staff.
• Guide guests and provide information, including directions and parking procedures.

Are you a night owl who enjoys working in an unpredictable environment where initiative is an undeniable asset? We're looking for an autonomous Night Auditor with an open and empathetic attitude, who will be responsible for guest arrivals and departures, as well as recording the day's transactions and always being ready to respond to an urgent situation.

What You'll Do

• Perform all night audit accounting tasks, including: reconciling deposits, resolving account chargebacks and producing reports.
• Ensure the security of the premises during the night, which means knowing how to make important decisions in the event of an emergency.
• Check-in and check-out guests, verify and detail them, and ensure that internal activities run smoothly, so that communication with the next morning's work team and colleagues in other departments always runs smoothly.
• Manage entry and exit traffic in front of the hotel, as well as greeting and informing guests with a smile, giving them parking procedures and other relevant information: directions to a sightseeing area, access to main roads, etc.

What You Will Bring
