PEL Chartered Professional Accountants Inc. is seeking an Accounting Technician to join our team in Burnaby, BC.

Overview

As an Accounting Technician, you will maintain general ledgers, prepare financial statements, and perform a range of bookkeeping and tax activities for our clients and internal stakeholders. You will work independently in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare tax returns and income tax returns from accounting records
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong computer and technology skills: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, MS Office, Spreadsheet
  • Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
