Your primary responsibilities will include:

As an Accounting Technician, you will play a crucial role in our forward-focused firm by:

• Data Management Services: Handle financial data management operations for varied clients, including preparation of payables, receivables, reconciliations, GST/HST returns, payroll, etc., ensuring deadlines are met.
• Compilation Engagement Reports: Prepare compilation reports and income tax returns for corporate and personal clients.
• Client Engagement: Understand clients' businesses, identify and resolve data management, accounting, and tax issues, adding value to their operations.
• Technical Proficiency: Utilize QuickBooks Online, other bookkeeping software, and related applications for client services and data management solutions.

A successful candidate will have:

• Experience: 1-4 years in bookkeeping or public practice.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of QBO, MS Office 365, and proficiency in bookkeeping software.
• Aptitude: Enjoys challenges, working with technology, and committed to ongoing learning to improve efficiency and client experience.
• Communication: Effective communication skills with a focus on client service.
• Professional Standards: Uphold high ethical standards, with strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Education: CPA designation is not required.
• Start Date: October 2025.
