About The Opportunity

Our client, who is located in North York, is looking for an Accounting Officer to join their growing team.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Reconciling bank statements and general ledgers
• Compile and distribute daily management reports
• Compliance reporting for lenders and regulators
• Prepare monthly financial statements and consolidated financial statements
• Prepare ad hoc reporting as requested by management or investors
• Cash receipt entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and account reconciliations
• Internal department queries and problem solving
• Calculate monthly loan payments, verify third party calculations and resolve any discrepancies

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• At least 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Relevant university degree or college diploma
• Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, policies and procedures and budgeting methods
• Detail oriented, with excellent organizational and follow up skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of NetSuite would be an asset

About the Job

The salary band for this opportunity is $60,000 to $70,000 depending on relevant previous experience. This role offers hybrid work flexibility and is located in the North York, ON region.
