A leading company in condominium management is seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee a team of accountants. This role involves managing financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing training to team members. The ideal candidate will have a CPA designation or significant experience in the industry, along with strong communication skills. Oversee daily operations of a team of accountants using established tracking tools.
Assist managers with client budgets and support the successful transition of incoming condominium corporations, passing them on to the team.
Manage the preparation of monthly financial statements to ensure deadlines are met, and guide the team on cash flow management as needed.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and Condominium Act requirements, maintain internal controls, and establish operational procedures.
Collaborate with leadership to achieve department goals, serve as the primary liaison for condominium financial issues, and oversee audits to ensure audit readiness.
Provide training and guidance to team members, oversee client banking operations, and communicate with board members and attend meetings as needed.
Guide accountants on complex issues, improve SOPs, and create training materials for managers and the accounting department.
Lead the development of updated SOPs during software conversions and collaborate with management to enhance department functionality and output quality.
Represent the company to condominium boards, recruit and train staff, and provide accounting policy orientation and training for new managers.
Serve as a lecturer in accounting for in-house training and handle any other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements include CPA designation or ten years of progressive experience in the condominium management industry, knowledge of GAAP, familiarity with Yardi and Ceridian software, and exceptional communication skills.
Educational background should include a CPA designation or significant industry experience.
