We are looking for a talented Accounting Manager to join our team for our Accelera by Cummins division in Mississauga, Ont.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead and mentor a team of accountants, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions.
  • Review and validate general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Address inquiries from management, auditors, and regulatory bodies with precise financial insights.
  • Regularly assess and enhance internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
  • Apply new accounting standards effectively and ensure compliance.
  • Train and support new and existing staff, promoting continuous learning and development.

Responsibilities:

Education, Licenses, Certifications: College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification required. Experience: Significant experience required, including supervisory experience.

Qualifications:

  • Manage cash flow and oversee cash management activities.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of tax filings.
  • Collaborate closely with KPMG on tax returns and tax provisions.

Qualifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and/or CGA (Certified General Accountant) preferred.

Compensation And Benefits:

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our Company Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, and a full range of personal and professional benefits.
