Recruiting In Motion - Eastern Ontario is seeking an Accounting Manager for a well-established professional services organization. You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, billing and collections, financial reporting, payroll, and trust accounting with regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, strong technical skills, and familiarity with QuickBooks Online and Excel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in professional services
• Strong technical accounting skills with excellent attention to detail
• Exposure to trust accounting and/or legal financial processes is highly valued
• Comfortable working with QBO and Excel
• CPA designation or equivalent experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations and financial processes
• Oversee client billing, receivables, reconciliations, and cash flow-related activities
• Manage trust accounting and ensure appropriate regulatory compliance
• Lead monthly and year-end reporting, including preparation of supporting schedules
• Oversee payroll administration, tax filings, AP, and other core accounting functions
• Provide financial information and reporting to partners and senior management
• Work closely with external advisors, financial institutions, and service providers

Accounting Manager Opportunity

Our client, a well-established professional services organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee core financial operations. The role will have responsibility for billing and collections, financial reporting, payroll, partner financial matters, general accounting, and trust accounting, including related regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, strong attention to detail, and experience handling confidential financial information. Experience in professional services environment, accounting/trust accounting, and a CPA designation or equivalent experience is an asset.
