Job summary

MNP is inviting Co-op or Intern candidates to join our Assurance & Accounting team in Canada starting January 2027. You will work on compilations, audits, and tax while learning IFRS, GAAP and ASPE under guidance from seasoned professionals.

The role supports a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture with opportunities to interact with clients and contribute to financial reporting improvements. Travel flexibility may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration with accounting/finance emphasis.
• Prerequisites for CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) considered.
• Previous accounting or client service experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
• Apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and ASPE.
• Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files.
• Perform AR/AP, asset purchases, payroll walk-through with clients professionally.
• Summarize financial status with balance sheets and P&L statements.
• Assess audit evidence for expenses, revenues and assets.
• Review discrepancies in financial entries and reports.
• Establish charts of accounts and posting entries.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, client summaries and engagement highlights.
• Collaborate with engagement teams and client contacts.
• Contribute to new ideas to improve processes using MNP systems.
• Maintain flexibility to travel as needed.
